Fatigue & the Silly Season

Fitness for Work

As we hit the silly season, with a lot of social events on our calendar, it is a good time to remind our employees about workplace safety.

FATIGUE is a condition that can impair employees fitness for work. Common symptoms of fatigue include loss of alertness, impaired decision making and inability to assess and respond to risks and hazards.

Where fatigue is affecting their safety or the safety of others, they should be removed from the workplace.

Employees have a responsibility to ensure that their personal activities does not result in impaired performance at work.

Fatigue and other Fitness for Work subjects are included in both the TANDI Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety Employee Induction modules.
