About the Organisation

St John’s Community Care is one of the largest not for profit service providers in Far North Queensland servicing 8 centres across Qld.

We enrich the lives of the elderly and people with disability by providing in home support that assists them to remain living in their home independently.

About the role:-
• Conduct regular nursing reviews in our clients homes
• Assessment of general health and wellbeing of clients
• Provide clinical reports that reflect best practice standards 
• Provide training to staff if and when required for medication and hoisting 
• Travel to remote sites on a routine bases.

About you:-

• Current Certificate as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged and or Disability sector
• Proven clinical and problem solving skills that delivers solutions
• An effective communicator who can liaise with key stakeholders
• Ability to mentor and train staff if and when required
• Proven compliance of clinical care plans and operational practices 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Data Base systems  
• Passionate about building internal, external and community relationships
• Strong ability to learn and grasp concepts and assignments quickly
• Energetic, self-motivated and results orientated
• Extremely organised, has strong attention to detail and time management
• Patience and empathy with the Elderly and people living with Disability
